En La Calle y Mi Ofrenda, 2022, Acrylic paint on canvas.
About the Work:
My work dances on the edge between life and death, inspired by the rich traditions of Dia de los Muertos. This celebration, with its vivid colors, and deep cultural roots is a major inspiration in my art and life.
I’ve always been fascinated by the relationship between the living and those who have passed on. My paintings are a mixture of bright hues, with darker undertones, reflecting the beautifully yet haunting balance of life and death.
Through my work, I aim to honor the traditions that have shaped me, while inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences. Celebrating the moments we have and remembering those who have passed on.
